Violet and Grey in Bloom

This image has been run through the iPhone app, ColorSplash, to paint out everything other than the 'pretty flowers'. Took a while to cut out due to amount of deatail around the buds and grass etc.

Then put through CameraBag using the Lola filter.

Then emailed from iPhone direct to this Posterous blog.

Spring like

A few sprinkles of colour now up Seaford Head. Always wonderful to see, but so fragile looking.

Emailed from CameraBag on the iPhone after applying the Helga filter.

Cloudscape

Taken on my daily 'walk the maddogdylan' excursion along Seaford beach.

Some real heavy contrast in the sky, always makes for a good photo, even on the iPhone.

Spring is here

Some beautiful rich colours this morning up here on Seaford Head. Managed to get pretty close to this crow perched right on edge of cliffs. Obviously been for dunk as was drying out in the sun.

Can't see how the colours have been interpreted by the iPhone, sun is toob right to see the screen.

Just taken with iPhone and emailed direct to Posterous.

Just waiting for you... Part 2

So after standing for almost 10 minutes off in the distance, Dylan realises he could be here for some time..

And promptly sits down to wait it out.

Just waiting for you... Part 1

Dylan loves to walk off, exploring. Then when he gets to a certain distance from me he will just stop. Sometimes just patiently standing, looking at me or will sit down. He is very good and patient like that.

Just makes me smile that he just sits and waits for me.

Used CameraBag app to draw focus onto Dylan. No other editing.

Fishing Boat Blues using 'ColorSplash' iPhone App

A common site along our beach in Seaford are these small fishing boats. Always provide good photo ops. This is the same blue boat on my blog : UpTurned and Blue

This time I have used a new iPhone app called ColorSplash. It allows you to create cutouts and desaturate certain areas.

All editing done on the iPhone and emailed direct from the photo library to this Posterous blog. Neato.

Aqua Shimmer

Another one taken from atop of Seaford Head, looking down at a huge slab that fell from the top of the cliffs into the sea, like HUGE.

This is one of the better photos taken with my iPhone in terms of clarity, richness of colours, the shimmering reflections on the surface and the whiteness of the cliffs.

To the right of the slab you can see how shallow the sea is here by the various boulders just visible under the surface. Height above sea level about 300ft.

Goes to show what the iPhone can achieve when given the right conditions and gorgeous scenery.

Ultra Violet Sun Burst

Really taken aback by how this photo came out. Just this moment downloaded the photo from the iPhone to Aperture and this is what greated me.

The intensity of the light radiating from the sun into the clouds has created this almost ultra-violet effect. This is pure iPhone, no editing externally. And the fact its duplicated within the sea reflection adds to this surreal effect.

Taken from the top of Seaford Head cliffs (about 300ft above the sea), overlooking the English Channel, at about 5pm.
